We took Mom to the Showboat Branson Belle for part of her birthday surprise. Here is Tom and Mom posing at the entrance to it.

This is when we went to eat on the Landing in Branson at a Mexican restaurant called the Cantina Laredo. My friend, Terry, joined us briefly.


This is Mom with her favorite Irish Tenor. We took her to a show of the 12 Irish Tenors as part of her birthday gift.

Following are pictures from Mom's 80th birthday surprise party held on Sunday October 4, 2009 in Rogers, Arkansas. This is a pan of the room with the guests.

This is the beautiful cake (and delicious) for the party. It reads "Happy 80th Birthday, Mom, Mema, Betty Jo" and has a picture of her at college age and a then a recent picture of her.

This is Kelly Young and Edwin Young signing the guest book.

Surprise for Mom

My sister was lying in wait for Mom to come in the door and pin her corsage on. She had no idea that we had planned a surprise 80th birthday party for her, nor did she have any idea that Tom and I were there! Here she just realized it was me behind the camera!

Top left is a picture of the guest signature pages that we will put in the scrapbook.

The following are some of my travel LO's

This one was another of Let's Scrap challenge sketches. I also entered it into Scrap Addict's March challenge for a 'Luck of the Irish' challenge. I had taken these pictures in Ireland on a trip I took there with several friends. This LO will be added to my album of this trip.

These are the pictures I took on my first trip
to Niagara Falls, one year before Tom and I
were married. I love the falls and can't wait to
go back to visit there. The inspiration here was
from Let's Scrap.

I took these pictures when Tom and I went on a tour of several sugar shacks in our area of NE Ohio. It was a beautiful Sunday - perfect for the tour. I used a 52 Sketches challenge sketch for inspiration.
